Meet Elisabeth

Elisabeth Espinosa Judge

The Campaign to elect Elisabeth Espinosa for Circuit Court Judge, is grateful for your support.

Elisabeth Espinosa is an accomplished legal professional with a proven track record of protecting the rights of our citizens. Her experience as a State Prosecutor and trial attorney, combined with her passion for public service, make her uniquely qualified to serve as a Circuit Court Judge.

During her career, she has tried 73 jury trials and 67 bench trials.  As a Prosecutor, she served as her Felony Division’s Lead Trial Attorney, where she handled cases involving violent crimes, theft, and drug offenses.  In private practice, she has protected the rights of property owners and small business owners faced with lawsuits threatening their livelihood.

Elisabeth was born and raised in Miami and is the proud daughter and granddaughter of Cuban exiles, who fled Fidel Castro’s tyrannical regime.  At her grandparents’ side, she learned how fragile our individual rights can be and how fortunate we all are to have access to an orderly and fair justice system.  Elisabeth’s legal career has given her the ability to be of service to her fellow citizens by actively participating in a free and democratic justice system that her grandparents and parents did not have in Cuba.  Her desire to return to public service honors the tremendous sacrifice her grandparents made in order to ensure that she could thrive in a free democracy.

Elisabeth obtained her law degree from Stetson University College of Law. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida, where she earned both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish Literature.  Elisabeth is a proud graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Academy.
